My son asked my wife and I why no one had told him Happy Birthday. He had just started Kindergarten and the day was almost over before we realized what we had done. With all the tragedy and loss of life we had forgotten his birthday. We did finally sing Happy Birthday and gave him his presents.

That was 7 years ago today. He was born on September 11th. His birthday will never be the same. I woke up this morning and saw a healthy and strong teenage young man... and wished him a Happy Birthday first thing!
