After nearly two weeks of complete and utter chaos in my schedule, I think I will be able to catch up this week. Finally.
For all who stopped by lookng for me, and for the kind messages and comments...I thank you.
The weekend of June 28/29 was Midget Tryout weekend here is Dallas. So the prior week, and the week after, was spent at the rink, on the phone, or in meetings. It is truly amazing how much crap is involved with youth hockey. But as things settle down, I am sure it will be a wonderful and entertaining season.
I also found out that the company I work for is up for sale. So back to the spreadsheets, bankers, lawyers, "advisors", agents, and Board of Directors. Not sure yet if this will be a good thing or not. I guess I'll know in the next 120 days.
I did pass my physical and stress test. Doc said I did good, but can still lose 15 pounds and do better. He wanted me to go to a dietician and review my eating habits. After I stopped laughing, he knew I wasn't going to go. I eat what I like and like what I eat. Diets have never worked for me. I would rather just eat a little less and exercise.
I did keep a little memo pad with me and wrote down several observations that I will be writing about.
I missed everyone and am glad to me back reading and catching up with you all.
Every once in a while you get the perfect Father’s Day card from someone special. I’ve had my dog for two years and we have grown very close. People say that pets take on the characteristics of their owners and in this case it is very true.
This is the content of the card I received from my dog, who is truly a man’s best friend.
If you didn't catch the list on the Anthill, go to my blog at:

Enjoy.
(My latest rambling)
Are you “green” by choice, default, guilt, social status, or money?
Or are you “green” because of all those reasons?
The truth of the matter is; many of us are “green” and don’t even know it. I guess I consider myself “quietly green” (until the writing of this article). I don’t make a big deal of it and mainly just try to do the right thing.

Well, we're getting there.
My Saturday morning...
The sink faucets are installed. No problems.
Tub faucets came damaged. Hopefully the replacements will be here by the end of the week.
Shower faucet and spout installed. No problems. Hopefully the new enclosure and door will be installed this week.
Door and drawer handles replaced.
Vent fan replaced. I scared the crap out of my wife when she saw me standing on the top of the ladder.
Hopefully by the weekend I will be able to take care of all three "S"'s in my own bathroom.
Then the only thing left to do is paint the cabinets.
In case you missed it on The Anthill, here is the latest in a long line of home projects...
So last month my wife says she wants to redo the master bath because it is “old looking” and “out of style”.
How much…I ask.
The wall paper is old, the countertops are out of date, and the faucets are discoloring.
How much…I ask.
The shower stall and hardware is too hard to keep clean, the tub faucets are also discolored, and the cabinets are banged up.
How much…I ask.
The grout in the floor is discolored, the lighting fixtures are out of date, and the towel racks don’t match anything.
How much…I ask.
To see how I fared, please go to:
