Inspirational New Guide Counsels Couples Coping with the Stress of Chronic Illness (for more details visit my blog) Hi everyone , It seems that many of us, at times struggle with the same relationship issues and difficulties. I have had MS for almost three decades, not every year was difficult. I was diagnosed in 1980, while a freshman in college up in Vermont. My disease was relapsing remitting up until 1990 give or take a year. I began dating the woman who would eventually be my wife during the summer of 1990. We were married in April of 1992 and everything was tremendous until I suffered a major exacerbation in May 1993, at which time I became disabled and unable to work. In 2001, after maybe three or four difficult years we divorced. It was one of the most difficult and darkest times of my life. Within the book "Life Interrupted, It's Not All about Me " I share with readers all the details, including the not so pretty details of my life with MS before, during and after my first marriage. I literally made my life an open book so that others with MS, disability virtually any chronic illness could learn from my mistakes, learn from them and become familiar with the many coping skills about which I speak. Below, I have included my press release alone with a recent article written in a major Massachusetts newspaper. I hope that you can benefit and enjoy that which I have to share with you.
