I guess that has been what is stopping me from really starting this blog. Face it, none of us wants to fail or be let down. As Fonzie or someone ”cool” like that used to say, “I got my image to protect”. If truth be told, we all want to “save face” and keep our self esteem from being trampled on. In addition, to succeed in something it takes time, practice and work!
That stupid “F” word! (No, not that one) Failure. Besides preventing me from really starting this blog, it has prevented me from:
writing & illustrating children’s books
getting my masters
creating & completing artwork
Those are just to name a few…
If you KNEW you would not fail, what would you do??

I have a word for you. It begins with a "T", and is very addictive once you start! "TRY" it you might like it! To answer your question, I am doing "it" right now. I was stuck in a dead end job and not happy. One day I started looking at life from the perspective of "What would I do if I won the Lottery and didn't have to worry about money?" I started my business about 15 years ago. It gave me a chance to do what I love and learn new skills.I found talents that I didn't realize I had! Blogging is a bit less risky. It's relatively anonymous, so you don't have to worry about image. Most people don't pay much attention to details and are supportive, not critical. Artwork is very subjective and hard to judge. You will be your own worst critic. Once you start "TRYING" you find the world is your oyster. In the words of the great philosopher Nike, "Just Do It!"
