For quite some time, I have wanted to use my skills to help others. Some skills I had to learn after I decided to file for disability, some before. Pretty much if there is a governmental agency barring criminal, I have had to navigate and use it. So many times along the way, I would have loved some help.
So I am going to be an advocate for one and all. Saltpye 3 has offered to help on the U.K. side as I do not know much about their systems. Duketate has offered his time as well.
I have been through worker's compensation, divorce, child support, disability, stalking and problems with the ex-husband. I have navigated medicare, medicaid and the part D program for perscription medication.
I am sure I have left a few things out.
My goal is to be the squeaky wheel, keep squeeking until we are heard, I would also like to help people who are navigating the systems.
I also have come upon decisive studies that have shown that the use of canaboids slows neuro-generation. I am appalled that no one was ever going to tell us this. M.S. is a nasty disease with differant symptoms for every person, but proven evidence has told us clearly it is useful and effective. They can not make the same statements about the neuro medications.
It has been accepted by many as useful for spasms, balance and fatigue. I have no intention of wanting to make drugs more accesible to the wrong people, but as we all know most will find a way.
What I would like to see is it being accesible to the people ie chronic pain and M.S., glaucoma and cancer and more who clearly need the medication.
So I hope that everyone will understand that my platform is medicinal use and not wanting to relive the make love not war era.
I can only hope that we will be heard and people will use the power of speach for good measures. I also sincerly want to be the go-to people when navigating a system full of red tape.
I am planning on starting the show by the end of this month or first of next! I will dedicate my shows to the best blog site ever! I hope that buzzers will support my efforts and together we will be heard.
I am hoping not to offend anyone and the reality of medicinal use will be just that, medicinal. So any input would be appreciated and I will let you know when we really get going!

Cannabinoids have been demonstrated to be helpful with so many things that it's just a shame that the FDA will not allow legal use. During my 8 years in nursing I can't count how many times I walked in on patients in the act of using. Counting the number of those I reported to my superiors is much easier, because that would be a big fat ZERO. Cannabis relieves nausea untouchable by standard medications. It relieves muscle spasms without the heinous side effect some anti-spasmodics have (I'll be writing about those in a day or two--holy Hell those medications can be insane to get used to!) . There's a huge list more but those plus the ones you listed are a good start. I've always thought marijuana had medical uses, long before I began the life I lead now. The catch has always been separating out the chemical components that produce the effects while leaving out those that do nothing for the patient, and that's been the FDA's reasoning behind never making medical marijuana legal--THC alone doesn't produce the medical actions that smoking the whole leaf gives and no one's attempted a study since the '70s to locate the precise compounds to make it possible to make pot available in pill form rather than in the whole plant form that it is sold in on the street. I don't think it should matter. Other medications (I'm thinking of one that's a stool softener) are put out as powdered and pressed leaves; why can't pot be presented the same way? With a little work a drug that makes life liveable for a lot of people could let those people go from criminals back to simply being patients in need of help, just like they were before the government converted them into felons when legal medicines quit working for them.

Don't forget to mention medicinal use for other diseases or chronic issues. Years ago when I was in the hospital (jojo knows this story), I had nerve damage with constant pain for years. Only now did I realize that I could have been a perfect candidate for medical marijuana -- I was living in Washington state (a medical marijuana state) and I had not only constant pain, but also constant nausea. The docs decided to put me on huge levels of oxycodone instead, plus a host of other anti-nausea drugs and more drugs to deal with the side effects of the first drugs (constipation from the oxycodone for one example). No one even suggested Marinol either. Sometimes when I think back, I get angry and bitter at what I went through, but most of the time, I'm grateful for living through it and being a better person because of it. Good job, my dear, I love you!

Wow! Ambitious project - and I applaud you for trying! Your knowledge could help a lot of people - and is certainly worth doing! If I can help in any way, just yell!
