I moved from the other side of the globe to Iowa when I was 12, with my family to reunite with my grandparents. I didn't know any English, not even the alphabet letters. I learned fast, you bet.

I met my husband via the internet. In college back in the old days, in IRC. We didn't "hook up" online, however we did when we met in person 2 years later during my internship, ironically brought together by a snowstorm.

I was diagnosed with cancer when I was 24, a mere 10 weeks after our wedding. Now 7 years later, I'm in remission and have 2 beautiful healthy toddlers.

I have a chronic GI condition that I must take daily medication for the rest of my life.

For almost 5 years, I worked as an engineer in a cleanroom wearing bunny suits.

For 2+ years I was a stay-at-home mom.
