Custom Profiles made easy Posted 11 months ago

Two weeks ago I posted a bit of custom theme code that I was using on my own profile. While some people were able to learn from that example, it did require a few changes to work in other profiles, and a bit of HTML and CSS knowledge was also required to get things working properly.

Of course, not everyone knows HTML (or wants to). For those who prefer the simplicity of copy and paste themes (a la MySpace), I've uploaded 5 new custom themes to my photo gallery.

You can view a preview of each theme in the photo gallery, and if you find one you like, just copy and paste it into the text box in your theme editor.

These new themes may not win any design awards - they're just the result of my having a little spare time this afternoon. They do offer profile editing novices a chance to add a bit of personality to their pages without having to learn a bit of HTML.

If anyone is pining for a specific look in terms of colors or graphics, I'm open to suggestions for future themes - just please be patient and understand I may not be able to fulfill every request.

Hope this is helpful.

Kevin

I'm just wondering, since I'm new to the site and went all gung ho today, is there a way to insert the rate me button on my profile? I've double checked the coding on the fire theme, it's all seemingly correct (meaning I didn't eff anything up), yet I'm missing the button as well as a contact me area. Could you lend a hand, please?

I have found some great photos here on the buzz, and would like to modify one of the themes I got (from YOU). Can I just switch the photo everywhere on your code, or do you need to do that for me with a larger pixel photo?

Thank you sweetheart! I was looking for a way to cut and paste some simple codes like I did for my Myspace page, but the MySpace ones definitely do NOT work over here. I'm sure they could with some tweaking, but with 3 kids and one on the way I'm not inclined to spend a lot of time playing with it. Thanks for thinking of us!!!

I'll say it again--this is so great of you. I created all the html and CSS on my personal blog, but since it took me about ten hours straight, the idea of trying to do that here was very daunting! Hey, some of us are slow learners. Haha. You deserve the highest possible buzz ranking for all of this, and you better believe that I'm rating everything of yours highly as I go through it. Thanks again.
