Mine was at the Holland Tulip festival craft show. This guy walks into our booth and looks around a little bit. He turns to me and asks if this is my booth. I say yes and he asks if he could interview me for the local paper. while he is conducting his interview we have to stop because someone is shouting and ringing this annoying bell right in front of my booth! It just happens to be the "Town Crier" for the show announcing our booth as the jury favorite for original craft! An interview and an award on the same day!

After the death of my father I wrote a poem. I took the chance to make a simple design and included it in my photographs for sale at a craft fair.

One Sunday, a gentleman approx. 60, flipped through my photographs and he stopped and looked at an image. From my viewpoint I could not see which image he was looking at. He went away and returned some time later and looked at the image again. This time I looked to see what image had caught his attention and to tell him a little about it. I was not prepared for it to be the poem that had caught his attention. I moved away without saying anything. That was the first time I had dared to put any of my poems on display and to my amazement the gentleman bought the poem. I was moved to tears and fought back the urge to hug him. He of course, having no idea how important that moment was for me.
